First American edition, later issue, actually produced and bound by Blackie in England. WITH WOLFE IN CANADA was one of the first two Henty titles that Blackie shipped to America with a "Scribner & Welford" title page -- in 1886, with a title page post-dated 1887, and with a Blackie ad catalogue. Blackie shipped an additional 100 copies in 1887 -- with an undated title page, and the ad catalogue of Scribner & Welford (listing as "new" Henty books those that came out in 1887); this copy is one of these. Condition is near-fine (very slight rubbing at the extremities, a few thumb-marks on page margins). Eastman pp 4-5 (ad catalogue "1887-B").
