First edition with the George Lawson illustrations -- a handsome color frontispiece that is reproduced on the front and rear panels of the dust jacket, plus black-and-white illustrations in the text. Though not so identified, this 410-page volume is part of Saalfield's "Famous Books" series, priced at sixty cents. The volume is in fine condition; the colorful jacket is very good-plus, with expert restoration on the rear side of some edges. See Taves & Michaluk V013.
