First American Edition. This is the companion volume to THE PRIVATE LIFE issued by Harper; together, the two volumes contain all six stories included in the earlier English edition of THE PRIVATE LIFE. However, between the two American editions we find THE WHEEL OF TIME to be somewhat scarcer than THE PRIVATE LIFE. This copy is in the primary and most elaborate binding, with silver grillework on spine and front cover and with the leaves' top edges stained ochre; there are also several secondary bindings. Formerly part of the collection of Bryn Mawr College (with label and release stamp), it is a near-fine copy with the spine very slightly dull. Supino 41.1.0; Edel & Laurence A41.
