Conrad, Joseph. ONE DAY MORE. A Play in One Act. (London: The Beaumont Press, 1919.) Original patterned boards with cloth spine, with cover and spine labels.
Beaumont Press edition, regular handmade paper issue (the first generally-obtainable issue of this play). Conrad's story "To-Morrow" was included in his 1903 volume TYPHOON AND OTHER STORIES. He then dramatized the tale, and it was performed (but not published) in 1904. It did not appear in book form until 1917 (25 privately-printed copies), after which came this 274-copy edition (24 signed copies on Japan vellum, plus 250 regular copies on handmade paper such as this one). A year later, there was an American edition limited to 377 copies signed by Conrad.
This is a very good copy, with some darkening of the spine label and lightv wear at the fore-corners. Cagle A20b(2).
