London: Macmillan and Co., 1884. 2 pp undated ads. Original dark green cloth.
First English Edition, which consisted of only 1500 copies -- published a month after the Boston edition (in which the tales appeared in a different order). The book consists of a tale of London ("Lady Barberina"), a tale of Boston ("A New England Winter"), and a tale of New York ("The Impressions of a Cousin").
This copy is in the primary binding of dark green cloth; many of the 1500 were issued either in a later maroon binding or were remaindered in a rust-brown Times Book Club binding. The volume is in near-fine condition (slightly askew, natural foxing on the endpapers, but scarcely any wear). Supino 24.8.0; Edel & Laurence A24b. Item #14335
