[signed by Yeats] New York: The Macmillan Company, 1927. Original light brown paper-covered boards with aqua cloth spine and printed labels.
First American Edition, this being #174 of the 250 limited issue copies numbered and signed by Yeats. The London trade edition (there were no signed copies) came out on November 5, 1926 (and is dated with that year); this limited edition was published on January 25, 1927, followed by the American trade edition on February 8th. The contents of all three editions are the same; the American editions were printed in America except for the English plates (there are four plates, three of which are by Yeats's brother and father). Condition is near-fine (minor rubbing at the extremities, a few page-edges chipped due to improper opening of the leaves, spine label sunned as usual, 1932 Christmas presentation inked onto the front endpaper). Wade 152. Item #12646
