First Edition of this posthumously-published collection of short stories. "Fifteen short stories, selected by Thomas Seccombe, who first urged Constable to publish THE RYECROFT PAPERS and here contributed a sympathetic introduction" [S&C]. Following Seccombe's 48-page Introduction is a one-page chronology of all of Gissing's books.
